For every client the Legal Aid Society is able to help, we must turn another away. That's why our Justice for All Campaign is so important. Your gift offers Legal Aid the ability to help over 4,000 of our most disadvantaged neighbors every year.
The Justice for All Campaign is Legal Aid's annual campaign, and its committee is comprised of community leaders who recognize the importance of Legal Aid's work. Proceeds from the campaign allow the Legal Aid Society to continue our mission to help low-income people resolve legal problems affecting their basic human needs and meet our commitment to securing justice, promoting economic and family stability, and reducing poverty in our community.
Notice to Funders The Legal Services Corporation requires that we notify all grantors the following: Legal Aid Society (LAS) is funded in part by the Legal Services Corporation (LSC). As a condition of the funding it receives from LSC, LAS is restricted from engaging in certain activities in all of its legal work – including work supported by other funding sources. LAS may not expend any funds for any activity prohibited by the Legal Services Corporation Act, 42 U.S.C. 296 et seq. or by Public Law 104-134. Public Law 104-134 §504(d) requires that notice of these restrictions be given to all funders of programs funded by the Legal Services Corporation for the receipt of funds of $250 or more. Additional information can be found online at https://www.lsc.gov/about-lsc/laws-regulations-guidance. For a copy of these laws or for any other information or clarifications, please contact Legal Aid Society.
