Participate in our Volunteer Lawyer Program
The goal of Legal Aid’s Volunteer Lawyer Program is to increase the number of people we serve. Volunteer attorneys may help by
• Accepting a case: Ideal for attorneys who want to manage a case according to their schedule. Legal Aid pre-screens the case and then sends you the case file.
• Volunteering at one of our clinics: Offers attorneys the ability to provide clients same-day service. Typically held at the Legal Aid office in downtown Louisville, clinics assist clients with wills, pro se divorces, small claims, foreclosures, and bankruptcies.
• Participating in our hotline: Gives volunteer attorneys an opportunity to speak with clients by phone at our downtown office and offer advice on a variety of legal issues.
