what to expect at your first appointment

You should bring the following items with you to your first appointment:

– Any papers, notices, correspondence, or court filings relevant to your case.

– Any other information you believe you should show to your attorney.

At your appointment, an attorney or paralegal will ask you questions and review your case. The attorney or paralegal will use this information to decide if Legal Aid can help you. Please do not bring children with you to your appointment.

If you need an interpreter, we can provide one for you. Please let the receptionist know you need an interpreter when you arrive for your appointment.
