Do-It-Yourself Resources

Through the Kentucky Online Self-Help Assistant (KOSHA), Legal Aid offers free "do-it-yourself" court forms that make self-representation easier than ever. We offer interactive forms on a variety of civil legal issues.  Visit to learn more.

In order to learn more about the laws that affect you, check out the legal education materials posted on the Legal Aid Network of Kentucky website at

KOSHA was developed in coordination with the Louisville Pro Bono Consortium and is funded by the Louisville Bar Foundation and Legal Services Corporation.

WARNING! If possible, you should always talk to an attorney for help with your legal issues.

The materials and assistance you receive from the Kentucky Online Self-help Assistant are not a substitute for legal advice. The laws and court rules are complex. Following instructions and using the forms provided to you will not guarantee a favorable result. It is always advisable to talk to a lawyer about your problem before proceeding on your own.

If you cannot afford to hire an attorney to represent you, you may be able to pay a lawyer to give you advice and review your paperwork for a lesser cost. You can contact the Kentucky State Bar Lawyer Referral Service (502) 583-1801 for the name of an attorney in your area that will provide an initial consultation.
